A hydrating recipe for a happy body and a happy mind! Try making this coconutty, ginger and turmeric kefir to help boost that immunity
3 cups Real© Coco Organic Coconut Water
½ cup fresh orange juice
1-inch grated ginger
1-inch grated turmeric root or 1 ½ tsp. turmeric powder
1 (.20 oz) packet kefir starter
In a medium saucepan on low, heat coconut water and orange juice to lukewarm, about 90ºF. Add warmed liquid to a mason jar and stir in kefir starter, ginger and turmeric. Secure jar with lid and let ferment at room temperature for 24 hours. Give it a taste and if you’d like a tangier drink, continue to let sit for another 10-15 hours. Once it is ready, store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
